Retail Bootcamp REPLAY
Building a retail brand is no small feat. It takes plenty of time, energy and in some cases lots of money. Whether the business is a brick and mortar or primarily e-commerce, there are many steps that need to be taken in order to be successful.
18 months ago I took a business trip to Morocco and fell in love with the leather products that were sold there. I came back to the United States and launched Made Leather Company, a business that imports handmade leather goods from Morocco. I sell primarily leather bags to individuals, and most recently to other businesses, across the world. The bags have been photographed on several celebrities and I have been featured in several publications including: Black Enterprise, Travel Noire, Sheen Magazine and more. In a short period of time I have been able to generate six figure profits and plan to continue the growth.
I have learned so many things during the process. I have learned about sourcing, importing, exporting, pricing, wholesaling and so much more. Many of the things I have learned caused me to lose money in the process. It wasn't fun :( However the experiences made me a better business person and allowed me opportunities to make more money in the future.
I am now able to take those experiences and loses and teach them to others so that they do not make the same mistakes. I am excited to do that through this four week boot camp.
